Copou Park is in the bottom of an old alley, Mihail Kogalniceanu street. The main alley of the park is guarded by the statues of Mihail Kogalniceanu, Alecu Russo, Mihai Eminescu, Costache Negri, Ion Creanga. Although younger, smaller in size and less known than its famous brother in Iasi, Copou Park from Vaslui offers an oasis of greenery, silence and fresh air to the visitors.

The park is located in the northern part of the town. In addition to the contemplation of landscape elements, interested persons can relax in one of two restaurants with terrace in the park. For children, there were organized two touristic sites: a specially equipped playground and a place where in the summer people can rent electric cars.

The construction of the park is related to the name of the former mayor of Vaslui, General Constantin Rascanu. The nostalgia for the old days is mentioned by the presence of the belfry, where, before 1989, various bands in the county used to perform fanfare recitals. Fanfare music sounds until today, but on a recently built bandstand, in 2004. In 2006, Copou Park underwent important changes to the image, continuing the series of cosmetic and planting in recent years, especially with the turntable.
