Fortress of Luncani – Red Stone (Piatra Rosie) is found at an altitude of 831 m, in proximity of Luncani village on Red Stone Hill.
Fortress of Luncani – Red Stone is built of stone, quadrilateral shaped, has sides of 102 x 45 m and is equipped with four defensive towers, located at the corners of the enclosure, and the fifth is in the middle of the east side of the fortification.

Inside the fortress were found remains of a wooden building, whose stone foundation was preserved in its entirety. To supply water to the garrison stationed in this city, in the north-west corner of the city is a cavity carved directly into the rock. Outside the city were identified traces of a sanctuary, consisting of alignments of the stone column bases (plinth).

On the east coast of the hill there was a second enclosure, made of rock and stone walls and a palisade. The eastern side of the second chamber meet the western side of the fortification of the ridge. Inside the second chamber was identified an ancient route of a road, paved with stone.

Entry into the city was flanked by three guard towers. The Fortress of the Red Stone is part of the system of fortifications that protected the capital of the Dacian kingdom from Sarmizegetusa Regia. By its geographical location, the city controlled the access from Gradistea of Mountain from Strei Valley.
