Fine art monuments
  •   Alecu Russo (1819-1859) - work of the sculptor Mihai Barbu, is situated on December 22 Square and was unveiled on November 17, 1973. During the Revolution of 1848, Alecu Russo, passing through Dej was arrested on 11 June 1848 and imprisoned at the prison from Cluj. There were were found 90 copies of the famous Proclamation, written in 1848 by Aron Pumnul.
  • Iuliu Hossu (1885-1970) - the work of the sculptor Vlad Pruna. Iuliu Hossu was born in Milas from Bistrita-Nasaud County. He studied at the Pontifical Institute of Propaganda Fide from Rome, after that he became a Philosophiae and Divinitatis Doctor, priest (1910), Bishop (1917), cardinal (1969), honorary member of the Romanian Academy. He was arrested in 1948.  At the end of his life he was buried in Bellu cemetery from Bucharest.
  • Alexandru Papiu-Ilarian (1827-1877) - work signed by the sculptor Horia Flamandu. It is located in the park of the high school who bears his name, was unveiled on December 8, 1973. The great forty-eighter revolutionary was born in Bezded, near Dej.
  • Andrei Muresanu (1816-1863) - work signed by sculptor Arthur Vetro and is situated in the park of the "Andrei Muresanu" National High School. It was unveiled on January 25, 1970. The name of the revolutionary poet Andrei Muresanu was given to the high school of Dej in 1919, with the reorganization of the Romanian education, after the Great Union had it until 1940. In 1970 the school received the new name of its patron, after a long period when it was called the Industrial School no. 1.
  • Guilelm Sorban (1872-1923) - work of sculptor Vasile Rus-Batin; is located in the city's park and was unveiled on June 26, 1971. Sorban has lived in Dej between 1900-1923. He was the first Romanian sub-prefect of the Solnoc-Dabaca County and then Prefect. He is the author of the first works of musicology from Transylvania and choral and vocal-instrumental works. He was buried in Dej, in the cemetery from Dealul Florilor, where there is a bust of the composer.
  • Mihai Eminescu (1850-1889) - work of the sculptor Ion Lucian Murnu, is situated in the district May 1, was unveiled on January 14, 1993. In his journey to Blaj in 1866, Mihai Eminescu stopped in Dej, from where he wrote to Iosif Vulcan who worked at the journal "Family from Oradea".
  • George Cosbuc (1866-1918) - belongs to the sculptor Ion Lucian Murnu and is located in front of the Municipal House of Culture. It was unveiled on November 5, 1993, when the institution received the name of the great poet. George Cosbuc visited Dej in 1912.
