Description

George Cosbuc Memorial House  - is the house where was born on September 20, 1866, and grew the great poet of the Romanian people, currently a historical monument. Here is organized an important tourist site, situated on DN 17C, at km 34 (at 12 kilometers from Nasaud).

Like the houses built in traditional Romanian style, entry is by porch, then you can visit the rooms, which invites to silence and meditation, through the patriarchal atmosphere created in the first three rooms: entrance hall, house before ( guest) and cell room (the prayer room - chapel of the house).
The objects exhibited in this room are original.

"Cosbuc" Museum is the only museum exclusively for the poet, this reason standing at the ground of the collection and partial exposure of photographs, correspondence, documents, translations and editions of the poet's work.
For the exhibition presenting the life and work of the poet are the next three rooms.
This museum is the first museum of Romanian literature in the country since 1905, and which is the symbol of Romanian literary curators.

The last room hosts, along with things of the poet (among which we mention: cape, hat, travel bag, etc.), and a very representative fragment of the 30 000 volumes from the library of the poet (not by number but by documentary value).
