Description
Formerly, the Graft Bastion was used as a link between the city and the White Tower and to strengthen the defense on the northern side of town.
The Bastion pierced the walls and looked like a bridge over the Spurcata river, had the the base built of a wall about 4 meters wide and consisted of two levels and a bridge, equipped with shooting holes and holes for the molten resin and boiling water.
The access to the White Tower was done through a bridge which climbed the slope up to the tower’s entrance, from where the defenders descended a ladder to allow the entry into the tower.
