Graft Bastion was built in the mid XVI century and is located between Smiths Bastion and Saddlers Bastion, in front of the White Tower.
Formerly, the Graft Bastion was used as a link between the city and the White Tower and to strengthen the defense on the northern side of town.

The Bastion pierced the walls and looked like a bridge over the Spurcata river, had the the base built of a wall about 4 meters wide and consisted of two levels and a bridge, equipped with shooting holes and holes for the molten resin and boiling water.

The access to the White Tower was done through a bridge which climbed the slope up to the tower’s entrance, from where the defenders descended a ladder to allow the entry into the tower.

Between 2003-2004, Graft Bastion was restored and opened for visits. Today, in the Graft Bastion there is a part of the History Museum of Brasov; the theme exhibition of Graft bastion is called "craftsmen from Brasov - defenders of the city?.
