Targoviste Writers' Museum is part of the Royal Court National Museum Complex.
Targoviste Writers' Museum was opened for visiting on December 30, 1968 and it is located inside the house of writer I.Al.Bratescu Voinesti, where he created most of his work.

The museum lies on 3 areas: first certifies the role of Targoviste as the first cultural center of the country; the second area shows the poets of the national awakening, born in Targoviste; the third sector presents the writers brought to life for a moment or an eternity in this city. The last two rooms illustrate the life and work of I.Al. Bratescu Voinesti.

With support from his family, the writer’s office was refurbished. The library keeps many books on philosophy, science and literature, many with autographs or notes of the writer. The collection has also a cello, which proves his extra-literary passions, some photographers of his parents, wife and friends, along with a bronze bust.

Targoviste Writers' Museum shows the visitor some correspondence, old furniture, first editions, fine art, objects of memorial nature, pictures that describe the writing talent, concerns of people of culture from this region.
