Description
Almost all men of the noble family had important functions and frequently traveled abroad, from where they returned with many innovative ideas who have put the seal on building the castle.
It was U-shaped, consisting of several bodies. The buildings were completed with attics, so the floor remained to be used by the servants. Here were the kitchen and all household annexes. Also according to the plans of the explorer, in 1825 were built the stables of a herd, that functioned for a century, being demolished in 1930. The interiors were exaggerative decorated and in salons, the furniture combined several styles, as Baroque, Rococo or Renaissance. Each room had a different type of tiles stove and the floors were made of colored marble, covered by Persian carpets.
Teleki family members collected pieces of furniture, porcelains, rugs, antiques, arms and trophies. Those who came to visit the castle were fascinated by the beauty of the place. Behind the castle was an arboretum, a crawl and a riding ground, where guests were training for various tournaments.
