The Annunciation Monastery

The Annunciation Monastery, was built in 1936 by the Romanian army, which in the interwar period built one Orthodox church for the Romanians who lived in areas heavily pupulated with Hungarians. Therefore, during 1998-2007, the following works were made: inside, the church was replastered and painted in tempera, decorated with an iconostasis of linden wood, oak furniture, candelabrum, floor, central heating etc.

Outside reinforcement works were made, the walls were replastered and the whole church was covered with aluminum plates.
It also was endowed with all the necessary things for holding the service. In the monastery courtyard, a summer altar was build (with a church in the basement), cells and a building for social assistance.

At the consecration of the Annunciation Monastery were present: Dorel Rus, dean of the Orthodox Diocese of Oradia, Bihor and Salaj, Priory mother Mina, along with the council monastery "Holy Cross", Sister Teodora, along with the council ofthe  monastery Voivozi, Priory Sister Anastasia, with the sisters from monastery Ghighiu in Ploiesti, some nuns from Salaj, a group of monks, priests and deacons of the Diocese of Oradea and in other dioceses, and about 60 people in Topa de Sus, accompanied by the priest Cornel Simai.
