Description
The only information about the monastery is offered to us by a charter of 1733 issued by the ruler Grigore Ghica II, which mentions Nicolae Mavrocordat as the founder. Over time, this monastery has been granted privileges, and after a while it was subordinated to Mera Monastery.
Precista Church is a monument with a porch made of arches; a delimited narthex and nave, the lateral abysses, altar apse and above the porch rises the bell tower. The whole building is made of bricks, the tower is made of wood, the church has no more painting, the floor is made of stone slabs and the interior has woodwork furniture. Between the porch and the nave there is a wood door. Due to damages, repairs that were made didn't keep the original architectural style, some modifications and additions being done.
