Surrounded by one of the most beautiful and well maintained local parks, the National Museum of Agriculture is located at the entrance from Urziceni to the city of Slobozia . This is the only museum with this profile of the country, the only museum that has a wooden church heritage (historical and architectural monument, XIX. XVIII) in worship (the parish of the Annunciation ) and whose director, Mr Daniel Ciuca is and ipodiacon.

The Museum includes:

1. The Wooden Church "Poiana", historical and architectural monument (documentary mentioned in 1737), which provides all religious services for the parish of the Annunciation.

2. Representative Collections (over 8 400 pieces):

* Public transportation (carts, carriages, sleighs, etc..)

* Goods with real artistic significance: works of fine art, objects of worship.
* Goods with real ethnographic significance: tools, household appliances and household items, furniture, ceramics, textiles, costumes, leather harness pieces, religious objects, custom props, photographs;
* Tools, agricultural machinery and industrial archeology: Companies from Romania: Toplet, The Iron Plants and Areas in Resita, Rieger SA Sibiu. Companies in other countries: International Harvester & Co., McCormick, Daniel West, Fordson, Lanz (Mannheim), Stahl, Rud Sack (Leipzig), Deutz, Petkus, HSCS, M. Kir. Allami Gepgyar Budapest, Budapest Gutjahr & Muller, R. Bacher - Melichr F. Budapest etc. Agricultural inventory made in workshops and rural households;
* Real historical-documentary: objects, written documents and iconographic personal that belonged to great personnalities of agronomy, medals, decorations, patents;

3. The Museum shop, with its products of rural crafts and various publications, is daily available to visitors.
The National Museum of Agriculture in Romania is affiliated to the international bodies belonging to UNESCO (International Association of Agricultural Museums, the International Association of Ethnology and Folklore, the International Organization of Folk Arts)

Diplomas, medals and trophies received over the years shape the personality of a cultural and scientific institution.
In December 2002, by the Law of Museums, the Museum of Agriculture of Romania became the National Museum.

4. The park around the museum completes a cultural complex popular for the Romanian and foreign tourists.

5. The library fund: 6200 publications (books, periodicals and booklets, 400 audio cassettes, video tapes and discs). The "house of bread (Casa Painii)" or "We-Us (Noi-Voi)" draw every year, tens of thousands of visitors.

6. The scientific and documentary archive: slideshows, photo cliches and photographs, audio and video recordings made on the ground, cartographic documents, press documents (over 100 000 units documentary).
