The State Theater's Building is one of the most important heritage buildings in Oradea. The building project was executed by renowned Viennese firm of architects, Fellner and Helmer. The construction works lasted only 15 months, dated July 10, 1899, until October 15, 1900, attended by architects from Oradea, Rendes Vilmos, Rimanoczy Kalman and Guttmann Joseph.

The exterior appearance combines in a harmonious manner the neoclassical style, dominant throughout the facade, with neorenascentist and neo-baroque elements, while the finishes and the interior decorations are imposed by a strong Rococo tone.

The building was organized on three levels: hall, lodges, balcony. In the planning of the hall, it was taken into account the achieving of a perfect acoustic. Also the auditorium was provided with a fossa for the orchestra. These features, unchanged over time, make the building an ideal space for theater shows, opera and concerts. Currently, the hall has a total capacity of 670 seats.

Opening hours:
Daily: 10 to 13 and 17 to 19; Monday: closed.
